open-source contributions

There are many other projects that I'm interested in, outside of those in my daily work. Large Scale Search has been an interest for me, since the early days with WebLinker and MOMspider. I follow a lot of the active research, especially in the Java implementations, and I also contribute to the archive.org OpenCrawler project. The work these guys do is great, including the Wayback Machine.

I also keep up to date with work done on Apache Axis and try and submit bug-fixes when I can.
